UFC 75: Lessons Learned... (by TKD)

We always have these post project wrap ups and I thought it would be interesting to flex corporate me onto the UFC a little....

    Lessons Learned:

1.) Wrestling by itself is not enough in MMA anymore (the 90's called and what their paradigm back!)
2.) Bisping needs to wrestle if he's going to be successful again
3.) Bisping/CroCop are too fucking small for their weight classes
4.) Tall French guys will hit you in the nuts and BJM will only warn them (I counted 5-6 shots dead on)
5.) Bisping shouldn't be given a mic after a fight
6.) Quinton should always be given the mic
7.) Lindland is an awesome corner!
8.) Houston Alexander is 'THE REAL DEAL!'
9.) Randy is great at color commentary....
10.) Rogan has Fedor on the mind.... What does that mean?

These two are from the girlfriend...

11.) George and Brandon are pretty cute
12.) Please make Joe Rogan stop talking during fights

    TKD

    PS - To add:

13.) Cecil Peeples needs to never be near this sport again!

    THIS IS NOT AN EXIT

I've been saying that for years. He doesn't know how to score anything that's not boxing.

I learned that obnoxious choice of entrance music is funnier when the fighter can't hear. That way you get to wonder if he even knows.

Also, I learned every strong grappling performance on every level should now be followed by the comment "I got joo-jit-soo" as if you were listing three items.

I learned that it's rediculous how many people get upset over a meaningless fight between two 205ers that are going nowhere in that division that ends in a poor decision.

    14) If you're fighting in your own hometown you will win an absolutely bullshit split decision even if the fight wasn't even close and should 100% have gone to the other guy (Bipsping vs Hamill)

And why does no one like Joe Rogan? He's the best commentator ever for any sport ever played, although in my mind he beats out John Madden and Don Cherry by a very close margi.

I think everyone wants El Guapo to give his mad mic jujitsu skills over to the UFC. Joe Rogan is a hundred times better than Mike Goldberg. It may get annoying to hear him talking about who he rolled with, but it's surely better than some of the inane comments I've heard from Goldberg.

    Lessons learned:

1.) Houston Alexander is a bad, bad man. Some RBSD'er is crying thinking of running into him in a dark, HIV-needle infested alley.
2.) Cro-cop is looking very hesitant and scared in the ring, I guess six or seven low blows will take it out of you, (anyone watch the boxing match between Zab Judah and Miguel Cotto?) Is he heading the route of Belfort?
3.) Quinton Jackson + Dan Henderson = spectacular fight.
4.) Dan Henderson has a metal plate in his head.
5.) I nominate Quinton Jackson and Randy Couture as the fight commentators for all future UFC matches.

    Including their own fights :laughing9

Rampage and Couture really are good with the Mic. I hope the go the way of El Guapo and start doing cometery when they are done with the kicking of the asses.

Quinton Jackson's post fight comments are awesome, he gets the "Moses Malone Award for Public Speaking" for his "I got the joo-jit-soo" gem.

    Lesson learned:

    - there must be some sort of correlation between the video gaming demographic and the UFC viewing demographic.
