While I get why some people may give this kid a hard time,

I get where he's coming from.

Knives have been one of a my main hobbies. I used to have a collection of atleast 20 quality pieces. Among them some Bayonets and some 75-to 100 yr old hunting knives.
(As an aside that collection by an accquaintance of my brother)

For me it was just that feeling of how cool they were, I never wanted to hurt anyone.

He, like me, probably just watch way too many action movies as a kid.
