Not getting dropped by liver shots is ENTIRELY about not getting hit square on the liver. No amount of special liver training is going to help you. Learn to roll your body away from shots and cover your liver if you are fighting inside.

Ward and another fighter from Niagara Falls named Billy Irwin were both known for finishing fights with Liver shots..they are brutal. Almost impossible to recover from when they land with power.
I remember getting one there in some controlled bare knuckle sparring , I didn't drop , but pretty much lost my wind and barely made it to the end of the round. Luckily, it wasn't a very hard punch.
