I guess I'm more forgiving of this which is why I blame Massagatti equally if not more. In my first fight I'm staring right at my corner while tightening down the RNC for the win. Even though I'm looking at my corner smiling (we have it on video) I don't really remember the last minute of the fight due to my adrenaline running so high. Bab's is a smidge more experienced than me but, and I hate to keep bringing this up, BJM always grabs the wrist to release a choke when he can. This will always get the choke released.

I agree that with the new push to mainstream that this is a PR thing on the UFC's part but for **** sakes right they were pimping the new TUF show that night and it looks like a bigger cluster **** than the last one.

They do encourage the inter-fighter strife by the very format of the show. Good TV, but bad for the fighters, and the image of it all with those not in the know. The TUF fights, are considered exhibitions, not counting to their pro record. If they **** up, they're off the show. The same sort of thing just happened to Babalu, on a larger scale...it sucks for fans the most...Babalu is always entertaining. MMA was debated/discussed on NPR a day or two ago (I was told, didn't catch it)...it's most def. in the public eye right now. Babalu couldn't have picked a worse time to be vocal about something like that.

    Matt Hughes vs Frank Trigg

    Frank Mir vs Silvia

    Evan Tanner vs David Terrell

    JayMac vs Chris Leben

    JayMac vs Hermann

This is just off the top of my head for UFC fights recently.

    Hughes?

    Mir?

Mir actually said, "I'll break his other arm if he wants."

I can't think of specific examples but I'm sure everyone who's competed has said something along the lines of:

"I'll hold it longer next time."

When they're countered with someone who lost saying they either didn't tap or weren't in danger.
