Nice to see there are people still out there to help out.

If you can get on the mat with either of these two guys (who look and sound like they've got some ring time) then you'd better get on it.

Also, and please read what I'm about to say very fucking carefully, IF YOU HAVE A GOOD CORNER WHO KNOWS YOU AND CAN HELP YOU TELL YOUR OLD COACH TO GRAB A BEER AND WATCH THE SHOW. This is only because your corner is there to help you not there to get a good look at the ring girls (hmm, will a show in a church have slutty strippers for ring girls? where's the fun in that?)

    Anywho, best of luck.

GIJoe6186, LI GUY 1 and truepwrz. What a love triangle :)

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

I am likely going to fight and I am cornering 2 other guys already, but I will make time to work with you the day of the fight and develop some strategy. I can also be in your corner. Most likely none of it will matter as you will likely be nervous as ****, next fight you will be better able to focus on strategy.

How long have you been training and in what styles/schools recently? Give me style and time studied.
how long i have been training umm in think 3 years all together(on and off) recently no school around here so just boxing, judo, and wrestling for me but mostly boxing training.

    karate-2months
    san shou-about a year
    muay thai- a month
    boxing-4months
    judo-a month
    wrestling-3weeks

i dont know really but a friend told me that i am surpose to have a corner so i asked a couple of coaches i had in ny and only he was free.

oh and when li guy or gi joe free mind if i go to li and have some sparring like a week before the event?

I am not free until the event, this is my last day off before the show unfortunatley. Like I said We will do a quick session once at the show and go from there. Its your first fight so I expect you will quickly forget anything I tell you anyways.

i wonder how different is a normal fight compared to a sparring match set with rounds and minutes???

Whats wrong with one minute rounds? You're not going to get anything done grappling wise in a minute unless you're way better than the guy. Hell we've tried sparring mma with 3 minute rounds and its difficult to get much done unless theres a big skill disparity.
