But if you get a plate weight, you could use it to do some fun stuff besides weighted situps that would do far more for overall ab development.

BTW I'm going to start looking into these (with a partner holding me instead of using the device) as a free alternative.

jandas are good, too. Why not do both? If you want abs, hit your core with variety.

I'm going to make an Amazon.com run in a few weeks when I've made some more money, I'll probably buy one of the cheap wheels then, and possibly a pullup bar (along with some new CDs of course).

Our dojo has one that we can use during our warm up and conditioning. I can feel it in my abs the next day.
