    Weight Gain Supplements?

    I searched around, and i did found similar topics but none answered everything i wanted to know. IT was said that a large quantity of gainer supplements are mostly sugar and are ****. I would like to know if there are any legitimate supplements and which are to be avoided. Im trying to gain weight, and i eat a shitload of food, and it doesnt seem to be doing much considering i've gained 5 pounds in the last year, while lifting consistently. I am 18 and my metabolism is pretty high but ive been getting frustrated with the lack of size ive been gaining.

    i asked about weight gainers, i eat plenty of clean food, i have a huge metabolism and im a hard gainer.

    How much do you currently weigh?

    How tall are you?

    How much and what type of cardio are you doing (include MA classes here)?

    How many calories per day are you currently eating?

    How does that break down into carbs, fat and protein?

    How much sleep do you get?

    I have 3 workout days, squat day, deadlift day, and bench day, on those 3 days i work different muscles but i work every muscle.
    I currently weigh 160 lbs
    I am 6' tall
    I am currently not doing cardio as i am trying yo gain weight
    Not sure how many calories im taking in a day
    Not sure
    Over 9 hours every night

    Oh and what can any of you tell me about maltodextrin???

    Maltodextrin is a complex carb made from corn. It's better than sugar, but it still causes an insulin spike. It's great for times when you want a quick insulin spike (pre and post workout) but not much use otherwise. It's also pretty expensive.

    I'd just stick with whole oats. They're still effective, and a lot cheaper than maltodextrin.
