    You must be from MAP.

    We don't close threads here.

There is always room for more discussion.

The fact is TKD sucks as a "fighting art"...if it was sooo great, why isn't it taught to people who really need to fight...like the Marines? Or how bout those cage match fights...the fools in TKD who still think they can do anything but act as floor mops always get their ass kicked badly. If the outcome wasn't so predictable, it would still be humorous to watch.

If after all your years of training you still don't know what "eclectic" is, you're just going to have to look it up.

TKD is taught to the Marines.......and the Army.....Air Force....SEALs , Special Forces...Rangers etc.

Most Martial arts are......it just depends on where your stationed at and what kind of martial arts programs are offered

sometimes you have guest instructors from different styles teach units.

some suck......some dont suck , its not the art......but the way its being taught

for example when i was in okinawa.....the tkd sucked, the tai chi had Fat Gay instructors with daniel san headbands the best styles to take up were jujutsu an okinawan karate

And, of course, tkd is also taught in the Korean military. North and South, I believe.

I apologize, as I have no internet access at home, and thus, am forced to do this from the Temple.

That's right...moderatpwned straight from the Buddhadharma.

Henceforth, all posts violating the KMA Forum guidelines will be relegated to the 38th Parallel. Posters who repeatedly violate the guidelines may find themselves losing the privilege of posting in this forum at all.

The student asked Unmun-seonsa, "Master, not even a thought has arisen. Is there still a sin or not?"

    Unmun-seonsa replied, "Mount Sumeru!":5bye:

It just may happen, if only for a temporary time, if I can't get this resolved quick.

I promise to lay down these extra powers granted me by the Senate when the threat of the seperatists has been ended.

    Really.

Volt, if you are not going to bother to follow along with the thread (which would have explained to you why TKD in the military got brought up, and hence rendered your last post pointless and useless) then STOP POSTING in it.

on the subject of TKD in the military all branches of the british armed forces have both ITF and WTF TKD squads.

I cant speak for the navy or RAF but in my army basic training i first came across TKD in self defense lessons.
