    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Amateur Show Rankings??

I'm curious as to what to do next. I'm on the East Coast and as of tommorrow will be 3-0 in AM MMA:)

Are there certain shows that are thought to be better talent wise for moving up the ranks so to speak? Or are they all looked at pretty much the same?

Does it only matter which shows you fight in once you go Pro? Everything going well tommorrow(it will), I don't know whaty to do next. Just sign up for the next AM show in the same promotion or maybe look to other shows or even get out of the local area.

Anyone know of some good shows a fighter should want to compete in? East Coast is best but I guess anywhere in the US a fight is a fight.

BTW yes I know I need more than 3 AM fights just wondering for the future. Thanks.

I would PM 3 people, Fatherdog, J Lau and Omega, and see what they have to say. Possibly talk to your teacher's teacher.

What's your eventual goals? Do you want to compete in the UFC? Is this just a hobby? Do you want to compete on the local level and stop? Let us know what your long term goals are and we'll have a better idea of what to recommend to you.

OK, I like to fight and stuff. Just got back from my 3rd AM fight, I am now 2-1. I wasn't as upset as I thought I would be with the loss, hell I actually prefer losing in MMA to winning a grappling tournament/match.

Goals? To face better competition and get good experiences each time I fight. I don't want to stop as long as I can do it. Competing in the UFC would be awesome, but I am still a little leaguer, so it's not like I'm just looking for my shot lol, I need work.

It happens to everyone, man. Props, as always, for getting in the ring and doing the thing. How'd the fight go? Will we see video?

I have video of the first two fights, the last one I might get in a week or two. I'll post the vids I have once KempoFist rips it off DVD for me, I'm not tech savvy.

In boxing it was key to keep a track of your record. In MMA it's all relative. Some do it for ego, some do it to just to give promoters an idea of the talent that's going to fighting on their show. Eventually it could work for or against you.

As for shows I'll let you know if anything opens here on the West Coast, I love having the bullshido guys fight on my shows. Speaking of which we just had one today that Sushi Shashimi had to back out of.

SO don't bother with the record too much? My first fight is not official yet as it was not reported. However I can make it official by having the promoter write a letter and send in video of the event. Should I get this done now just in case?

Also does it matter what shows I fight in or just fight wherever I can when I feel ready for it?

Thanks for responding so quickly Omega.

Never. It will be an awesome contrast that will strain everyone's eyes when I fight a black guy.
