whats an independant MMA fighter

This is probarly a stupid question, so sorry. But what is an 'independant' MMA fighter, i think i know its like someone who trains them self but i don't properly know so if somebody could explain it then that would be appreciated.

Also could you list some examples please. Thanks.

Somebody not affiliated with a team/camp/organization.

Not necessarily self-trained, as they may train with multiple groups, or take some private instruction, or do some other types of training, but don't consider themselves a regular members of any of these clubs/organizations.

oh ok, yes i understand now. I would say a good few UFC fighters are independant, am i right??

None that I can think of. Some, run their own teams, but most good fighters I can think of are part of a team.

The closest thing to a high-profile independent fighter right now is Crocop. He has his own training setup at his house, and a couple different instructors that he brings in to work with him, as well as a rotating set of sparring partners, but nothing that really approaches having a "team".

My skr33tz setup is better. I included the broken glass, ninja shuriken and caltrops, concrete and masonic lodge symbols into mine. Boy is grappling hard on a 32nd degree square and compass *wink wink, nudge nudge*
