Dan Henderson vs. "Rampage" Jackson

UFC 75: London these two will fight for the first ever fight between Pride and UFC champion.
Who has the advantage, me personal thinks Jackson has no chance.

Also, could someone explain how the belts workout with the winner.

Jackson has the advantage. He's a bigger LHW and his striking is cleaner, not to mention his wrestling is close enough to Henderson's so as not to make much of a difference.

Whoever wins takes the LHW belts for Pride and UFC both.

Wrestling close to Henderson's?
Because of size I'd be more likely to bet on Rampage but Henderson has beaten bigger favored opponents before. While his striking may not be "clean" it has been effective for him against strikers that destroyed rampage.

I guess what I meant to say was that Henderson does have better wrestling than Rampage, just like Lindland does, but in the MMA context, given Rampage's size, Henderson's wrestling talent shouldn't make too much of a difference.

I do understand that Rampage was beaten thoroughly by Wanderlei, but then again, Henderson doesn't have knee strikes like that.

Since Henderson can hit like a sledgehammer, I won't rule out a KO on his part, but the odds favor Rampage.

As strong as Henderson's punches are, Jackson has a strong chin and much better boxing: I don't think Henderson will be able to knock him out standing.

I must have missed this announcement. I thought only the UFC belt was on the line?

I don't know the specifics, but they're calling it a unification match. That sounds like both titles are up.

"Better" boxing isn't what it is really about. Liddell has **** boxing but is very effective in MMA. Vanderlei is fairly wild and does things you wouldn't do in MT or K1 but is effective in MMA.
I think that Rampage will win, but not solely because of "better" boxing.

they keep changing the story - first it was the ufc belt, then it was non title - but the latest word i've heard is that it's a full on unification match.

I remember reading that Lindland was pretty impressed with Rampage's wrestling after their match, so I think rampage will do OK, plus, there's no way Dan is strong enough to muscle Page into the cage and keep him there.
