When will we learn that Coda is irreproachable. He is truly a bodhisattva, sent to us to show the Path of Enlightenment through colourful dialogue and old Karate films of the 1980's.
I think I puked a little reading that. Someone please tell me that he did not jump from 4th kyu to 2nd kyu in 8 months. What happened to 3rd? Now I have to go search out the rest of the Coda Scott threads to read how this mystical happenstance...well, happened...stanced. Or whatever.
On a related note, ice cream is good and it makes no claims of being trained by Hanshi/Shidoshi...and, Coda, "You are not a Tanaka! You are not Japanese!" -

From the info that I have gathered, Scott has only one student. There are 4 instructors of different arts and they have maybe 8 students all together. They have a new school called Stillwater Combatives Center and it is located in Body Works Gym in Stillwater. There is a new site for it Facebook.com - "Stillwater Combatives Center" I also have the phone # that I can pm to people if anyone wants it. Tom was offered space in the same place.

For Coda Scott, wouldn't "minivan" and "home" be the same thing? :laughing7 I think I saw it parked down by the river. :laughing7
And people in Oklahoma drink High Tea everyday at four? With their pinkies extended? Sheesh... I guess I don't get out much. LOL

He pretty much has the same thing going on that Milton Wallace has. He has this fantasy of martial arts going on and he wants to live it. They both want it now and fast. What they don't realize is that they could live the fantasy for real if they where to get off their fat asses and train under a legit teacher and get legit rank. The problem with that would be that it would take time and hard work to do it and why should they have to do that. After all, they are already "Masters" in their own mind...or "...of the Universe", depending on who you talk to.
