Some of those lifts gave me a herniated disk just by looking at them :dead:
Pretty cool website, though.Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.
My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

I like the zercher lift. I wouldn't say it's forgotten though - I see a lot of guys doing it a the rec club (I don't do weights at my MMA gym or the Judo club, the rec club has better facilities)
Hack Lift looks interesting. Any of you guys tried it?
The Steinborn Lift scares me. -

How to **** up your back, joints etc in 10 easy lessons. I suppose there are some interesting lifts, performed by guys that are already strong. MY problem with this kind of stuff is that guys like Pavel Tsat?whatever promote some of these explosive or difficult lifts, without any kind prerequisites. You should be able to squat at least twice your body weight 10 times, with ease, do 100 full sit ups in a row, press your own weight over your head in a safe manner, before moving on to things like weird kettleball lifts, and most of the stuff that is making a "comeback". I'd have a lot more respect for guys like Pavel if he were, say, 55 and giving out advice. At least I'd know that he could do it without mangling his own body.
Anyone who believes "that which does not kill me, makes me stronger!" should look at a picture of Nietzche. Did he look strong? For all we know, half these guys could be all messed up. Go see what Jack Lallane used to do. He can still move around, or that guy that used to write the ripped articles. This kind of stuff is dangerous, for an elite few. If your were meant to lift like that, it would still be being done in the NFL.
