That girl was a truck............
Shitty low brow move for the cheap shot but she did push a pretty descent pace and that's pretty much where the decission came from. Not that she did anthing spactacular, she just set the pace.

i think cardio won that fight, and she actually kept her hands next to her face.
meh on the "cheap shot" once the bell goes its on, if you choose to touch gloves then good for you, dont expect the other person to.Nick says:

True... but it's still bad form. especially when the girl raised her had as well, touched gloves and then fired off a kick. You are 100% correct though that once the bell rings it's on. It isn't an excuse. it was just an observasion.

****. Sorry you were sick, Kat. That really sucks. I just got off a cold that kicked my ass for over a week and gave my wife bronchitus. Kidspat, the hardrive on my computer at home crashed and for some reason I can't get the video to load on my wife's laptop, so I haven't had chance to see your fight yet. Sounds like she was bigger than you and pushed the pace for the decision, though. Been there, done that, had the guy tattoo the shirt on my forehead. It sucks, but you'll learn from it and move on.

I have no complaints about her throwing that kick after my trying to touch gloves. It's something I don't generally initiate, but this time I felt really low on energy going into the fight so I figured I'd attempt to slow the start of the match a bit by having her touch gloves with me. I was expecting her to throw something immediately after touching gloves so I checked that kick anyway. I don't really consider it a cheap shot, personally.
As far as weight, I have no idea what she weighed in at. She seemed a fair bit shorter than me so I could believe her being about 130lbs. I weighed in at 123lbs. Not that big of a weight difference, but since she was pretty stocky she seemed pretty strong. Doesn't really matter though, I accepted the match assuming she was probably a bit heavier and thinking I'd win it on speed and technique.
Unfortunately my tank was totally drained before I even stepped in the ring. Shitty day, but people seemed to enjoy the fight and I'll get in there maybe next month and try and make up for my crap performance.Ranked #9 internationally at 118lbs by WIKBA http://www.womenkickboxing.com/wikba...rch%202009.htm
