I didn't know him, but all reports suggest he was a good man. He will be missed.

    Rest in peace.

A brave honest soldier goes down.
    So sad...

Forgive me being obtuse however; so do the British service personnel which the US forces seem unable to stop killing in FF incidents - another three from the Royal Anglian Regiment.

My condolences for Sgt Harris loss.

Likely due to lack of appropiate communication at the higher levels. Another thing to consider is that these guys may seem 'trigger-happy' but you have to consider the extremely volatile situation they are in. This is more a Sociocide topic though.

    RIP.

This is sad. It's obviously too much to hope that the people who are really standing behind this absurd war (Bush, Cheney, Rove, etc) go out and fight it themselves.

Rather we've tricked our children into dying for our battles because we've presented war to them as something cool instead of something horrific.

Example1. http://www.americasarmy.com/ (the Army has spent years bragging about how realistic this game is, except the game does not include any blood or gore.)

    Example2. http://www.dosomethingamazing.com/ (kill people! It's amazing!.)

Things like this are why many people see joining the army as an alternative to going to college, instead of a poorly compensated deathtrap.

This is not the time or the place. Not only should posts like this be in Sociocide, but it's also disgusting to take advantage of something like this to help spread a political message. And besides, some of us happen to think that killing terrorists is a good thing.

My condolences to the soldier's family.

edit: oh, and AA is pretty damn realistic. but it's still a video game.

I don't think you can really make a very good judgement call on what defines a terrorist in Iraq. I'm sure if America was in a similar situation most of us who chose to defend our freedom to think and live the way we wanted would be hunted down as "terrorists" or "insurgents"(as if we didn't live in America to begin with).

Still I get your point. I'm off topic.

    Goodbye.
