So, the thread over at cervens.net has been concluded by the mods there. Here, for the record are some of the most relevant comments from guys who identify themselves as actual or ex-Legionnaires.

For starters, let me state that I have no MMA or fighting experience.
I attend a gym in South Beach, Fl - just so happens the "watermann" is a regular member and I have to say this guy is one of the biggest attention starved fools I've seen in my lifetime.
For those of you who are practicing MMA or other kinds of fighting have good reason to be suspicious. Tell me, what kind of real fighter brings their championship belt to the gym for a casual workout? Might I add it looked fake as Pamela Anderson’s tatas. To boot, he's a creepy stalker with all the female members.
I consider myself to be a decent human being; I don't beat around the bush - and for personally knowing this character and having to deal with him almost everyday I can testify that he is not all he claims to be. He’s a nobody. Not even a good personality to distract you from all the bullshit that's coming out of his mouth. I want throw up every time I see his face.
He doesn't deserve any of the credit - not even this blog. I want him to be exposed for who he REALLY is! Let's make it happen guys.
If you have any questions let me know and I'd be more then happy to answer them.

Hiya. Thanks for signing up and posting.
What sort of stories is this guy coming out with at the gym? Stuff that's been mentioned here before? Or new things?
Granted, you may not have seen him without his shoes and socks on - but if you have, does his left foot show signs of being (to quote his web bio) 'surgically reattached after five surgeries'? I'm not an expert - but I reckon that there should be some scars, marks and indentations left there...
Edit: Also... would you be able to elaborate on what it is about his behaviour towards the female gym patrons that gives you cause for concern?Last edited by Larus marinus; 12/30/2010 8:02pm at .

"8th Degree Black Belt - Aikido
received from Shihan Jonas Nunez Jr., Former World Champion"
Why do guys like this seem to think they need to have bullshit rank in Aikido? Aikido is not even a fighting art to begin with, and there are very few 8th dans to speak of, and he claims the rank was given to him by some youngish karate guy.
I see a rank in aikido like this I don't need any more proof that the guy lives in a fantasy world. -

Re: Union, NJ: Freidun Younossi - The Iceman Lie-eth?
I'd hate to bring up an old topic, but I couldn't help but to register on this site to give my input about Freidun Younossi.
Freidun Younossi is an ex-husband of a family member of mine. He is an absolute fake and a big con artist. She divorced him for cheating, and his wife after divorced him for cheating as well.
Everything on his website is a complete lie, and everybody in my family laughs at him because of how outrageous his claims are.
Yes, he was on Regis and Kelly, but that's only because Regis was gullible to believe his claims when he met him at the gym.
I haven't seen this guy in over 15 years since the divorce, but at the time he was tall and skinny and didn't know a single thing about martial arts, the guy couldn't even read English!
His claims are bogus and can't even be backed up. And to see him posing as someone he isn't, when I know who he really is makes me sick. -

Re: Union, NJ: Freidun Younossi - The Iceman Lie-eth?
I've met the guy when I was very young, BUT from everything my family has said, he never claimed any of this when they were together. What makes everybody laugh is that he all of a sudden made these claims, and they are so far fetches. I guess when you continue to tell lies like this, you start to believe them yourself! And that's what he is doing...
Some of his story is true, He did move to California, with my family member when they got married. Then they were divorced but the timeframe on his bio doesn't add up. They had 2 kids together one is 23 and the other 24. -

So, that would have been late 80s, then?
According to FY's story, this would have been after engaging in 'in over 400 private fights' throughout Europe. This does not seem remotely plausible to you, correct?
As a matter of interest (just to help form a timeline), could you tell us what year FY and your family member were married?
Do you know what year FY actually arrived in the US?

. Reminds me of a Fin who rescued all the kids from the bus in Africa
. No names mentioned on the guy who was in charge of the prison in Djibouti or an ex MP in Calvi
