Tai Chi & Sparring

Hey

Just wondering if there were any other Tai Chi Chuan guys out there that actually sparred as part of their training. When i first started, me and my friend were training 4 days a week (full time uni students with nothing else to do :)) and after about a year, when we finished off the shortened form, and after some conditioning, we sparred.

It was with headgear, tkd body armor, and 16oz gloves, so it was almost all strikes, with no joint attacks. While being good experience, I haven't done it in a while....also probably because my friend that i sparred with was in another state for a couple years, and i just wanted to if other guys doing tai chi sparred?

yeh i know, i saw a few threads that had been posted in on roughly similar topics, but the ones i saw were a month or two old, and i figure i wouldn't revive a thread that was clearly dead

Yes, I do Tai Chi and spar. We use 10oz gloves, headgear and no body protection.
