    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    natural energy shake?

    Ok here's the deal:

I was at my local gym chugging an energy drink when I guy comes up to me and says "hey, that stuff is ****, I can give you a recipe for something better, and all natural." Of course I took him up on it. here's the "recipe" he gave me

    1 chopped bananna
    3 cups honey
    1 cup water

he tolod me to throw it in the blender and drink.

now I'm normally open minded about nutrition but this being better than my energy drinks sounds like nothing but ****.

any suggestion on stuff that would work?

3 cups of honey is pretty much 3 cups of sugar so yeah that thing will give you a kick.

Are you sure it was three cups of honey? sheesh. But then what was your "energy drink" ? If it was gatorade... meh, I'd say it'd be a toss-up between the two. Add a little salt to his recipe and you'd just about break even.

Why do people rag on gatorade so much? Top nutritionist John Berardi seems to think it's ok. I'm asking a genuine question as we don;t even get Gatorade in the UK as far as i know, only powerade.

1 cup of honey has 280 grams of carb...

I'm really hoping he meant tablespoon.

Energy drink or Sports drink or Recovery drink?

When I think energy drink, I think Red Bull. When I think Sports Drink I think Gatorade or Powerade. When I hear recovery, I think like an MRP or protein shake.

You want wiiiiings, go for the three cups of honey, not to mention you'll be broke in no time.

I'm gonna take a stray guess and say that the "natural energy" is crap?
