Ignore Billy Blank man's boobs for a second (unless you swing that way). 40 minutes of tae bo a day will greatly benefit anyone who wants to get in shape. Heck, even 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night are great if you are so pressed with time. Plus one tae bo DVD costs less than $20 bucks... more affordable and practical than the monkey bars.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

This thread was originally named "Please sign a petition for working out in public parks." It's been renamed and cleaned up to make it somewhat usefull. The remainder of the original abortion has been moved here : http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=58592
Go there and have fun watching the horror of its original form.
In this thread, however, please contribute by giving examples of how a person can workout at home or outdoors at little to no cost. Vidclips, links to outside sources (with commentaries) or detailed plans (with pics preferred) will be much appreciated.
Next time someone genuinely asks if there are ways to work out at home or outdoors without spending a fortune (or someone complains how inconvenient and/or impossible it is to workout w/o a gym), please send them to this thread.
And just to sink the idea : http://www.sociocide.com/forums/show...47&postcount=3

The gratification you get from working out is the sense of accomplishment that comes from it, and the certain knowledge that it is for your short and long term benefit. There will be activities that you will enjoy and others that you may not, but at the end of the day, when you choose your activity and you do it, it's gonna suck.
It's gonna suck to jump a rope. It's gonna suck to do chin ups. It's gonna suck to jog. It's gonna suck to lift weights. It's gonna suck to spar and roll. It's gonna suck that it will take time that you could use to be with your loved ones, or be in the couch and relax after a hard day at work or sleep one more extra hour.
You will bear with it and mentally tell yourself that you are enjoying it, but as you push yourself, it's gonna suck. Suck it up because that's the only way you'll reap the benefits of it.

ignore all the blurby **** at the start. A perfect example of using stuff you might have at home to elevate the difficulty of an exercise.
Edit ---
Lyen Wong... lordy. We need a thread of just her clips... -

I have been forced to switch to mostly BWE since I moved from the prison to the field (no access to a free employee weight room anymore). Got a nice pull-up/push-up bar made by everlast and use it 3-5 times week. Supplement it with some light lifting (I have a light barbell and 80# of weights) and guess what? The stuff works. I've still been getting stronger, more defined and even still putting on a bit of mass. Not to mention burning calories. The pull-up bar was, like, $20.
As an aside, was that first vid porn? I mean, that girl was... Anyway, who was that?
*Hoping my wife doesn't ever read this...* -

That was Lyen Wong, a Cuban fitness competitor of Chinese ancestry now living in Germany. I was going to buy her fitness DVD for my g/f but then I realized it was more like "ohhhh, I look cute in these." It may be fun watch, but I don't think my g/f would appreciate it :tongue3:
Pauline Nordin has a fitness/training DVD which is more hardcore and to the point AFAIK, so I may get a copy of it.

BTW, I finally got a tire and an 8lbs sledge hammer (they are on my car trunk right now). All I need to do now is drive to the park and do this good **** :viking:
