Would cycling and ropework be a good alternative to jogging?

Oh my gosh cardio is the worse thing for me and I really need better cardio. I have a jump rope but the stupid ground all over my university will cut the rope in half. So I try to jump on the orange track part where no one runs in the track field. but still motivation is hard. I tried joggin 30 mins a day and it lasted like 2 weeks but it was so tough especially with my bad knees. Oh well I have to push myself I guess.
