The kukkiwon site has way too many pop ups!!!

Anyway I got my dan certificate from kukkiwon back in the day and I have my membership card. Later I went and trained in Taekwondo when i was in my early 20's when I moved to kentucky and got my 2nd dan from this grandmaster. He told me I would get all this stuff from kukkiwon but when I tested he told me that the kukkiwon and WTF screwed them over or something and that they are a bad organization and then gave me this made up organization certificate called IMF (International Martial Arts Federation) which is not to be confused with the IMAF for Japanese arts. I have never been able to find anything on the IMF ever. I didnt get an OMF ID card but only acertificate signed by the actual grandmaster. This grandmaster was legit from WTF but over the years I guess they wouldnt let hims ponsor the Kentucky state tournament to qualify people for the jr. olympics or nationals unless a certain number of his students joined the USTU or some crap. Anyway this grandmaster charged me a **** load of money and gave me this BS. He was dying anyway and I guess I helped pay some of his doctors bills. He died of stomach cancer then one of his top instructors took advantage of the situation and screwed everyone over and the grandmasters family and basically took over the school and changed it. He is a dick and crazy. He one time posted on here years ago threatening to shoot me because he saw that I talked **** on his school. Then he called me up and threatened so sue me. Anyway that is a long story.

I never got my 2nd dan kukkiwon sheet but whatever...You guys need to know that NO kukkiwon sheet ever truly comes from Korea unless you live in Korea. They actually come from Colorado the USTU headquarters. They are printed very cheaply and signature of the president of WTF whoever he is now, at the time it was Dr. Un Yong Kim is printed cheaply on the paper by a computer. My schools certificate looked way cooler than that.

Maybe one day if I ever feel like it or run into a cool TKD master I can get my 2nd dan sheet from kukkiwon but that probably wont happen.

These certificates are only cool because you can use it to back up your profile as proof or rank and training you did if you ever decide to run a martial arts school.

Hmmm interesting I can't find myself on the list for my dan. Weird. I even have the ID card with me and I am reading how my name is spelled on it. I got my 1st dan in 1999. It says so on the card too. Why cant you just type in the numbers?

Oh sweet I found myself! What you have to do is type your entire middle name even if only the initial is written on your certificate.

I framed mine haha! I dont care, I am proud of my black belt. I dont show it off like crazy plus I am in college so i left it in storage in my parents house.

In any martial arts orginization to get rank you have to purchase it. Whether it be Jujitsu, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo you have to purchase your rank every time you test, especially black belt.
