    Hell yeah! Hell no!

No Gi grappling tournament at Fighthouse NYC This Sunday July 29th 2007

Is anyone going this Sunday? Unfortunately, I have work this Sunday, but I'm interested to see how this turns out. There seems to be a lack of grappling tournaments in NY, with most of them being held in NJ. So hopefully there will be couple out here where I can just pop in to.

No Gi Grappling tournament this Sunday July 29

He's also setting up something August the 12th.

    Gi Tournament August 12th

Whoops, it was August 12th not the 14th.

Sounds cool but I'll be away. Sanshou would be cool, or knockdown karate I heard they might be doing that as well.

We just need MMA in NY now. Everything else seems so empty now.

I was thinking that KTFO should pick up Sport Jiu Jitsu, so that we can have real fake MMA

    Dude, you were there?

It was a total clusterfuck, it started like an hour and half late for what seemed like no reason. Once **** got going it was single round eliminations, which I thought kind of sucked. In the case of a draw it went to sudden death of one minute.

But never having competed in grappling maybe all of thats normal.

Eh well it was my first experience at a submission tourney, so Iím easily impressed, lol. But it was single round eliminations though, I was expecting the 4min. round rule set. I got there around 1:30 though and stayed for about an hour ní some change in the rain :-(

I might enter for the august 12th event, White Belt 155-169. Anyone else thinking of competing. Oh, and this also depends on whether or not I get mangled at NAGA in Wildwood this weekend.
