I'm interested to see where this thread is going. Ironically, all the Wing Chun bashing that goes on in these forums has lead me to become more interested in learning about it. I've been doing some research and am going to try to apply some of it next time I meet with Codos, who I'm not ashamed to say is a much better fighter than I am. Because of this I'm always looking for a "leg up", if you'll pardon the awful pun. I'd like to see another outsiders perspective on the style. I hope we get an update soon
I have some bastardized wing chun from the Dog Brothers, James Keating and Clyde. I will prove it to you by sparring with my chest square and my lead hand extended really far, with both hands on the centerline.
One of these days I will show you both the real bastardized WC.
Don't tell me you do Xtreme Wing Chun which has the Xtreme d34dly and the Xtreme Anti-Grapple.

Yeah, to get back to the OP:

You'll most likely meet a bunch of guys who are at least trying to test their stuff. Which is what you're up to as well, as far as I understand.
So just go there and see for yourself.
And make sure you report back.
