If he wants you to "join up with him" and bring him students, he should let you do at least part of the seminar for free.
He's 21 though?
And he's got Bruce Lee **** everywhere? Seems LARPtastic.

Clarify your relationship with the seminar (or future ones, since it sounds like you won't be going to this one) before you participate. Are you going to be presenting material? Are you bringing more people in to attend it? Will you be getting any of the profits, free materials, free admission for yourself or a certification?
Don't assume anything, and if you don't like the idea of bringing in a slew of paying attendees while you get nothing yourself (or, especially, have to pay for yourself to attend) then don't do it. -

So far I have been approached by 5 people wanting to start an MMA school. I have no interest in running a school as currently I just want to fight. But the allure of having a place to call home in my town vs 2 hours away is pretty great. BTW all 5 talked a big game but when it came down to money they basically wanted me to front the insurance, facility and equipment.

Do you have access to http://pagewash.com ? If so, go there, and then enter the myspace URL and click "Begin browsing" ... that's how I get around censorship at work :P

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -
Here, hold these for me.
