Body Triangle = Jerk?
This will probably get Gitmoed but here goes...
I tapped a buddy lastnight in no-gi who is a blue belt (I'm white). I used a body triangle from back mount because he is very slippery and flexible. I eventually got the RNC by using a lot of body pressure to distract him. He complained about it later and said that It hurt his stomach. He never outright complained about using the move but he made me feel guilty about it.
So am I just a jerk or was he a little ego damaged from tapping? I normally wouldn't care but I like this guy and consider him a great training partner and friend.

If he taps from that, he deserves the ego damage. It's not what I'd call Good Jiu-Jitsu though.

I think this was just a moment of ego weakness. No worries, he will be OK.Locu5

Body triangle is good control. But trying to just squeeze the life out of someone with it is kinda lame.

If I get body triangle on someone, I'll just give them a little squeeze then let up, just to let them know I could squish them like a bug. (But it's not cool to do so since I'm 230 and often roll with people who are 170).

Cool. Hopefully some 170'er will "squeeze" that armlock just to let you know they could break your arm like a twig.

**** the body triangle!!!!!!
It took me months to learn how to get out of that fucking move. I asked everybody from bjj blackbelts to Combat Submission wrestling. Finally figured it out when we all sat down and broke it down.
