Body Triangle = Jerk?

After that guy chinned me in the eye, I regretably didn't let go of an armbar quickly enough. Another time, he dropped the point of his elbow into my instructor's skull during boxing sparring and got headbutt KTFO'ed. He learns, slowly, not to do that ****, but he really just wanted to learn MMA for bar fights (and has gone to jail for using it in said circumstances), and has a rep around town as a crazy redneck ************, so the cheapness and annoying bullshit moves are expected.

I strive to save the real blatant and heinous **** for the ring. Not saying I want to fight dirty but I figure if it isn't against the rules then it's fair game.

I think you're only a jerk if you do it just to cause pain. Also, if you end up doing the same move just to beat him, you're probably not getting much training value from it.

Yup. As long as eveyone agrees to the same set of acceptable techniques, it's cool. You may be a jerk for doing some of the stuff, but if everyone has agreed to be jerks, it is still cool.

Incidentally one of our dirtiest fighters is a girl who is maybe 5'2, 130. I figured that out when she was finger locking the **** out of me to break a grip, and I called her on it, saying that she was dirty. She said "Hell yes I'm dirty. You've got one hundred pounds on me, so I've got to use whatever trick I can to counter that."

She never tries to hurt anyone, so I don't mind. The truth is that even though she's actually got damn good clean technique, she can still get bulled around sometime just due to sheer lack of size. If she's got dirty stuff that'll bail her out without hurting anyone, then I see absolutely no problem with her using it.

Well, I WOULD cattle-catch crucifix her enough to hurt, then take her back and reef on her jaw (not a cross face so much as a "rip your jaw off your fucking face" move), all the while throwing punches and elbows to the back of the head...but if it's a girl, I'm not going to do that. Girls get off easy.
