Why not work your whole body instead? Did you lose your legs in the war? I aplogize for your tragedy, but maybe you should consider something other than working out. You should write your congressman and ask about benefits for war veterans. As a veteran of a war, you deserve to get treatment for your missing legs.

If not, find yourself a nice beginners routine from somewhere like T-nation (www.t-nation.com), or experiment yourself with full body workouts comprised mainly of compound exercises (ones which work more than one joint action eg: bench press, squat).
If you've done a bit before, maybe try a split or more advanced programme from somewhere on t3h interweb. If the guy above is correct, I'm sorry about your accident. -
