    Routine Help?

You last visited: 08-06-2006 at 08:57 AM

Looks like I aint been here in a long time.

I'm looking to get some upper body size and strength.

I've got access to barbell and dumbbell weights.

    I'm 5"8 170lbs.

Why not work your whole body instead? Did you lose your legs in the war? I aplogize for your tragedy, but maybe you should consider something other than working out. You should write your congressman and ask about benefits for war veterans. As a veteran of a war, you deserve to get treatment for your missing legs.

Haha - I'm another one who registered in 2005 and didn't post for about 2 years :happy7::happy7:

Work your whole body and your upper body will improve more than if you neglect your legs. You are as strong as your weakest part ;) Have you done much training before?

If not, find yourself a nice beginners routine from somewhere like T-nation (www.t-nation.com), or experiment yourself with full body workouts comprised mainly of compound exercises (ones which work more than one joint action eg: bench press, squat).

If you've done a bit before, maybe try a split or more advanced programme from somewhere on t3h interweb. If the guy above is correct, I'm sorry about your accident.

G your missing out neglecting your legs. I love my legs. It is slightly auto-erotic to be honest.

How can you not want to look like that?

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

You folks are all way too insensitive, posting pics and talking about people with legs when the TC is a war veteran that lost his legs.

If I don't want to work my lower body then I don't. And if people aren't going to help because of that so be it.
