    How to find out about upcomming tournies and events in town?

    I want to be able to know about certain full contact tournaments or Matches or events like Pancrase, Full contact kyokushin and full contact karate, kickboxing and what not in my city.

    BUt i dont know where to look to find out when certain events happen until too late.

    anyone know of any resoarces?

    I live in edmonton Alberta Canada.

    If it's a "big time" event like Pancrase or IFL or UFC or what not then you can check there websites. For smaller events keep an eye out for posters at your local gyms/dojos. You can even search myspace as a lot of fighters jabber about upcoming events in their blogs.

    I notice a lot of event promoters will put bills up in martial arts supply stores. The few i frequent in town always have lots of event posters and business cards for the promoters.

    Wolf, I would try to tell promoters/organizers of these events to use icompete. I've asked via email someone who runs a knockdown and grappling tournaments to post their events there and still no luck.
