Hi Richard,

Just seen your website and have a few questions about what it is you teach and some others about you and your qualifications;

The founder and senior instructor at Streetwise, Mr. Richard A Farmer HOF. WBOB. IBU Are these post nominal letters formally recognised qualifications from a society/institute with a Royal charter? I am unfamilier with any of them - could you please expand?, is one of the UK’s top martial arts instructors (Glad to hear it! But again - what qualifies you to claim this?) . Richard who is a 4th Degree / Dan Black belt in 3 Styles (Which styles?) of Martial arts and 6th Degree in Te Ashi-Do also holds the following:

Inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame (Which one? Is it the one where you send a cheque and they add you to a long list - or is it the one where they add you to a long list of names - and then you send them a cheque?)
Full Member of the International Bodyguard Union
Full Member of World Board of Black belt (again, which one - and were you invited - or did you pay?)
Certified Warlord (Only 26 outside of Japan) (This is a corker - let's face it - who "Certified you" and what do you think it means? Who are the other 26? What governing body certified you - and why you ?)
Chief / Senior Instructor & Co-founder of the Te Ashi-do Jutsu system
Fully Qualified Instructor and Grading examiner (With who?)
Advanced Weapons Instructor City & Guilds in Teaching (Is that Advanced Weapons Instructor AND a City and Guilds in teaching or are you being clever with words here?)
Referee in Semi, Light & Full contact (Again - with what organisation?)
Registered with the Association of Self-Protection Instructors
Qualified First Aider
Y.M.C.A Fitness instructor and Weights training Instructor
NVQ Coach

So if you could let me know any answers to those questions - that'd be great!

Also, 26 warlords?
What happened to "There Can Be Only One"?

Put them all in a room with swords, then who ever's left can claim the title of Warlord.

The letters are kinda easy to figure out, he's just being repetitive:

HOF=Hall of Fame
WBOB=World Board of Black Belt
IBU= International Bodyguard Union

Basically, he's saying the same thing in two differnet places, not that it matters, it looks like he made them up anyway.:5oh:

Can't find anyone else on the internet (except one person on MAP - figures) who claims to be in any way a "Certified Warlord".

Last I was up there all was peaceful in the Hemel Hempstead? What's gone wrong Richy Farmer?

ummm... I'm teh suxor at the Japanese stuff, but, doesn't Te Ashi-Do Jutsu mean something like Hand Foot Way Technique (or skill)? His made-up art is Hand foot way? Pidgin Japanese?

I don't think that's funny... compared to a hand foot way warlord, anyway...

Yes you're right - compared to Certified Warlord, 3rd Dan Kickboxing would only raise a frown.

Te Ashi Do = Hand Foot Way = Tae Kwon Do

I'm going to pretend I knew the translation of Tae Kwon Do, and that my post was ironic and rhetorical. That way I can still feel speshul.

I don't approve of this translation nonsense.
At least if someone is going to make up a martial arts, they shouldn't directly translate the name of one that already exists.
Pfft.

However, I'm looking forward to him doing the same with his Certified Warlord claim.
Accredited Despot has a real ring to it.
