Tommy Gunz : A UFC fighter or a barroom BSer?

Has anyone on here ever heard of a mma fighter who is in his 40's and goes by the name of Tommy Gunz. I met this guy at the gym today and he claims to have started(been one of the first fighters) in the UFC. He dropped all kinds of names and claims to have beaten ken shamrock and joyce gracie. He says there is a book being written about him and made all kinds of other claims about other awards he has won. This guy is Robson Pereira times 100. If any of you guys have ever heard of him or never heard of him ,let me know.

Tommy "Gunz" Morrison is an ex-pro boxer who was forced to retire about 10 years ago when he tested HIV+. He recently had a fight on an Indian reservation which was billed as MMA but didn't allow any ground fighting or kicking. It was basically a boxing match with 4 oz. gloves. Morrison claims he is not HIV+ but was unable/unwilling to comply with the Athletic Commision's demand for a clean blood sample. Thats why he fought on the rez where there is no commision. Recent pics of him would lead me to believe he is HIV+ and has had pec implants.

I doubt this is the guy you met at the gym but can't imagine why anyone would want to pretend to be him.

I beat all of those guys once, too. I was awesome and indestructable. Then this giant red chicken jumped into the ring and started pecking the crap out of me. When I woke up, my wife was jabbing me to try and get me to stop snoring.

CAMP VERDE, Ariz. (AP) - Tommy Morrison says an MMA fighter is no match for a trained boxer.

And he plans prove it Saturday night in a cage outside a casino in northern Arizona.................

McKinn said Morrison would not have to take a blood test for the MMA fight. The bout is being held on the Yavapai-Apache Nation, outside's the state boxing commission's jurisdiction.

The fight is not part of Morrison's three-year contract with Top Rank. McKinn said he was trying to arrange a Top Rank-sponsored boxing match for Morrison at Cliff Castle June 29.

"I'm a boxer," Morrison said.

Morrison returned to the boxing ring earlier this year in West Virginia, knocking out John Castle in the second round.

MMA star Dan "The Beast" Severn (81-15-7) will fight Victor Vincelette (2-2) in the main event Saturday night. Severn, who turns 50 next year, wrestled at Arizona State from 1976-80 and served as a coach there until 1986.

Yeah, it's not Tommy Morrison the boxer. I have heard of him too. The guy even made it a point to tell me he was not the same Tommy Gunz as the boxer and says there was some legal issues when Tommy Morrison wanted to use the name Tommy Gunz because he was around first. This guy has his name tatooed on his hand and everything and says that he was ranked the sixth best fighter in the world. He is from Brooklyn NY. I'm pretty sure he is a fraud, but he was making some huge claims. He even said that he had Tito Ortiz stay with him here in lancaster about a month ago and brought him to our gym after hours to workout.
