    You, too? My goodness, I only use my hands for doorknobs. And even then, only if it's a round knob, not a handle.

    I also, work on passing as closely to things as possible. Distance and body position.

    Aunkai body mechanics training exercises. A ton of horse stance work (not done in the typical way), leg raises work for stability. A lot of spearing work with a heavy bo (same body mechanics as punching)

    Aunkai style pushhands (no technique, rather figuring out how to deliver power from the feet to the hand).

    I kick all kind of things, and most of my friends/band when we hang out/practice.
    I'll also shadow box/kick and thump myself on the shins, thighs, and torso in between throwing out punches/kicks... to get used to moving as though it didn't hurt...when it does...good practice when I'm bored.

    I hit myself in the jaw while I am doing sit ups, it has made my chin a little better, I don't get rocked as easy as I used to. Also I strap on 5 lb ankle weights, and kick the heavy bag, and a TKD paddle which I have fixed about six feet 2 inches high on a pole in my Garage, I guess those are kind of weird....
