Omega also benefits in part by having NO BONES IN HIS NOSE WHATSOEVER.

I know this isn't boxing, and keeping a hand low makes sense in other contexts (like if you want plan on catching kicks for takedown).

Even some successful pure boxers don't keep their hands up guarding the face all the time. Muhammed Ali and Naseem Hamed are both examples of people fighting with one or both hands low.

And Mayweather pretty much sticks to that weird "thinking-man" stance, with one arm parallell to his waist on his chest, and one right at his chin.

My wife actually asked me that when I put the videos up "I've been meaning to ask you, how come you never keep your hands up like everybody else"
I was just trolling, I know a few guys who don't suck and do leave their hand low. I just couldn't do it myself and not get KO'ed (I found this out the hard way).

I noticed that you lean back a lot when you throw your leg kicks. Is this just to keep your head out of harms way or do you manage some sort of power generation with this technique? I had an argument with someone a while back about leaning back on kicks and these days I'm finding that I've changed my position to a degree (I used to think it was helpful, but not so much anymore). It's become my recent observation that launching yourself forward makes for a stronger kick...

    Thoughts?

Omega, I can actually see the TKD influence in your stand-up. ...Er, that's not an insult.

When I was training Muay Thai I had to stop leaning back when I kicked because the more experienced guys would either shunt me onto my arse or take my leg out.
