Your friend is an idiot.
You were drinking in public.
You do taekwondo.
Taking bandwidth to agree with everyone else.
I can't think of a single time when someone tried to coax me into a fight and didn't have some sort of advantage, so avoiding the fight is always the best way to go.
You - clever.....your friend - an arse. Pride is NEVER worth getting shanked over.
El Macho is right - avoidance is the best defence
Kein Harr - understated comedy genius
Wow... You actually ran into some vigilantes searching for weed-smoking hobos? Yet, that's something so stereotypical and bizarre that it's probably true.
When drink is involved, it's not always easy to take the high road and avoid fights, but you still pulled it off so fair play. As for drunken freinds being rubbish? I have a friend who is as sound as it gets when sober, but with a few on him he's all over the place, picking fights and wrecking the place, so I just avoid going out with him.
The stupidity of this thread, from the title question to the original post itself (they were going to beat you or arrest you??? WTF?) is astounding.
ok, first off, if you don't know where i ive or how things work here, STFU. kids who's parents have anything to do with the police or any government department that deals with any kind of security run around the streets here doing whatever the **** they please. i've gotten detained and about to be taken in for arrest, then released in 7 minutes, both because one guy said one thing, and then another guy, who's dad has higher rank, said another. and all i had done that night was DJing at this place which i had been booked. yes, i almost got arrested for playing music, and my gear almost got confiscated.

while this may astonish a LEO as yourself, welcome to the 3rd world.
while i agree, it was a park, not a parking lot. one of my friends does live a block away, so he likes to chill there.

c) you did bujinkan. there's prolly still some ninja left in your bloodstream.
Fighting is only merited when there is no other choice (but that's just me, I think fighting outside of the ring is dumb...).
as soon as they approached you... you should've kata dante'd their ears and their balls.
