Yeah, it's a good idea to go to a Kenpo school with some grappling.

The instructor at the place I practice at is also a qualified Shootfighting instructor and has stated that you can opt to pay extra for private lessons with him in Shootfighting. Personally, I'm happy with the Kenpo, but I'd be excited to do some Shootfighting. It'd be hardcore... :tongue5:

i have fought a shootfighter a couple of them. and they wanted me to show them some thing's because we spent all day sparring and they could not get me cause i had more tech. and they were tring to use strenth which you don't need in grappleing. now i am not saying that i havent been tap choke or knock out cause i have but never by a shootfighter

I find that hard to believe from somebody who can't spell for **** or trains in Aikido and calls them self a "mixed-martial artist" at the same time.

Tracy Kenpo actually contains some fair amount of grappling, including some strangulations, chokes, and joint locks.

But if you're looking for a grappling school, don't go to a Tracy Kenpo dojo, they have a fair amount of grappling for a more traditional striking Japanese art, than say your average karate dojo.
