Even if it was modified it would still be completely harmless to shoot it at the range so I'd still think lowly of the police officer for caring. Just a personal political view :)

Maybe the cop thought it was dangerous to have someone shooting like that from the hip?

Could have been puppies around or something.

Here's that video -- and the other method of bump firing that does give a sight picture, but holding the gun by pulling it forward would make it really tough to aim.

Well, I just hope that anyone trying bump fire knows for sure that there isn't anyone on the other side of the backstop. Even a .22 round over the backstop can travel a hell of a long way and still do damage on its way down. I was at a fun shoot with a lot of full auto funsies, but a few guys still wanted to bump fire their AKs. I'd say about half of their rounds went over the backstop and into the field on the other side where Farmer Brown's cattle were grazing. If any cattle had been hit, I'm sure it would have put the owner of the range out of business.

    They should join forces.

Gunrange and BBQ? Sounds like a win to me.

I like the rubber band one, but I only have access to bolt-action rifles at the moment...
