Megumi is one of Josh Barnett's students and has won several of her fights by foot lock, here - the undefeated fighter demonstrates the 'Ankle cutter' description is by Josh Barnett.

Megumi pins then drives the blade of her forearm into the inside of Abe’s ankle just below the ankle joint causing a lot of pain and driving his foot to the floor. When done right this can cause a tapout from pain.

while this lady is obvioulsy a far better grapper than i am, the step i have quoted seems unreliable

Seems similar to using wrist locks to break grips, allowing you to armbar your opponent.

Now you're both dumbfucks. You haven't been on this site long enough to "get it". We've worked this lock for years. Trust me it doesn't belong in 95% grapplers arsenal. It's novel. I rate it a 4 as a set up maneuver. You think you know more than me get on the fucking floor with me. I can't help it if you don't have a sense of humor and hypcrite boy "franz_grinder" like to drool over every little maneuver.

You know what Chaz, something is telling me to give you the benefit of the doubt. This is not like you're other forums, throw off the censor meter and throw around a few f words. It's fun. I give it thumbs down as a precautionary to new grapplers. This is not a maneuver you want as a staple maneuver. You'll find it more effective on under 1 year practitioners and guys who really don't know what the **** they're doing. Most of the time it becomes more annoying than effective. As for Josh Barnette he can do whatever the **** he wants but he owes me $500 for beating Couture.
