With that logic you're saying you would go to a heart surgeon that watched a few youtube videos? Or would you go to someone who is certified from an accredited school and has proof of where they were taught?
FSD is claiming to teach you selfdefense for the street. So in a life or death situation on the street you're fine with being taught by someone who you know nothing about where their training came from? -

Is English your first language? Serious question.
How old are you? Serious question.
Have you read this thread in its entirety? Serious question.
You are posting like a deluded cultie, like I said go introduce yourself in Newbietown and familiarise yourself with this site.
The fact you think you can learn much MA from YouTube let alone teach anything on that basis lets us know how valid your defence or opinion of FSD is..by which I mean...
YOU HAVE NOTHING OF VALUE TO SAY. -

There is nothing wrong with celebrating Chrismas, unfortunatly thats not whats happenning on the pictures. A martial arts school throwing a (by the looks of it, very pricy) gala to reward the people who brought in the most money says alot. This is not a style, this is a shady buisness at best, a scam at worst.
I was kind of like you at first, then I realized that something was wrong. Then I saw how people get sucked in. FSD is almost sectar-like to some people. My advice, take a few steps back and try to see how your school works with a different eye. Ask your instructors about "the law of attraction", about the GIN. -

Exactly, this has been the unanswered question forever. Ok, let's give them the wing chun lineage. I've researched this website and on the net. The only thing that I see, is there was a fall out between jp and demile. We can contest this forever, but hey, demile's wing chun was bruce lee's interpretation of it and of demile. So can we even it call it wing chun, or a hybrid of it. So let's give that a rest.
But what about everything else? Now you are saying that they teach BJJ? Wow! The doctor example sounds very logic. Unless some of the students are cross training behind the FSD dogma's back, or that they are, and the instructors strictly restricts them from even mentioning it, from fear of losing students.
That is where the dilemma is. Their ego doesn't allow them to give cred to any other styles for any success they might have. This would go against what they preach as FSD being the best, and that they came up with theses new techniques.
Their greatest fear is that their students realize that they do not have all the answers, that their system is incomplete and instead of giving credit where it's due, they hide from it. Why would you say they would hide, because of the fear of the students finding out that they are con-artist, and are they are there for the money. And that the students will run out the door. They will cut and paste what ever they need into the FSD system, certified or not, if it helps them make money!!! So I must take back my surprise of them teaching BJJ. Now that I think of it, I am not surprise.
Let's go back to the doctor example, if you go to your doctor and he is a foot specialist, but then he realizes that he can make more money cause there is a new heart operation that would prolong your life and it's the craze right now and he sees that he is not only losing patients but also lots of $$$. He decides to it's too expensive and too long to go back to medical school and get another degree, he goes on the youtube learning channel, buys all the books and dvds on it and then starts advertising that not only he can do the operation, he says that he is the very first in Canada, Ontario or Ottawa to do it! WOULD YOU LET THIS GUY OPERATE ON YOU! Hopefully not.
This is what FSD is doing. Period.
How do you like them apples.
