Yeah, in hindsight my guard/guillotine suggestion probably won't do you well in a Judo comp., sorry about that. Good chance of getting in trouble for a neck cranck there. (But it works great in less restrictive rules if you're comfortable on your back!)
Richie makes a good point with regards to getting low and controlling the hip to retain the position. You could also switch to kesa which can be a very strong hold down/pin if you do it properly. I've seen newer people tap just from the pressure it puts on their chests. Just be aware of them trying to take your back. -
