I don't know if it was a change in the rule or just the enforcement of it, but Warasak is correct. Also, IIRC, earlier on you could only throw a leg kcik if it was followed by another technique. Now you still have to throw leg kicks as part of a combo, but they can be anywhere in that combo including the last technique thrown.

As long as it evolves I have no problems. Like I said earlier I like the Flash Ko's and knockdows, I just want to see more strategy.

I will never be ok with it until they eliminate the strategy and style rules. The leg kick/combo requirement is just silly. They may as well not allow single body shot punches.

That's why I said evolves. If they keep adding good things and eliminating the dumb stuff we could have a US version of K-1.

    Shhhhhh.............

I think ESPN and OLN have showed a variety of San Shou matches in the past. I haven't seen one in months, though :(

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

    Here's a vid of a WCL fight.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYWNbliMscY

I see both guys pressing the action according to the rules. And let's face it, that is what makes these fights so exciting. However, I also see circular movement, counterpunching and strategy. And I don't see flailing.

*shrug* Again I'm not saying there are no problems in the WCL. When searching for this vid I saw another that had all the negatives we've talked about. But that, IMO, had to do with the inexperience of the fighters (both were former point fighters and one guy clearly sucked on top of that!).

WCL = K1 with more rules = bad.

That's all that has to be said. More restrictive rules make worst fighting sports.

Please don't ever compare K-1 to crap like WCL...
