No one said shin guards make it point fighting. I said the rules make it sound like Extreme point fighting.

People break **** in point fighting all of the time.

They are just disqualified. Now you aren't.

    EXTREME!!!!!!!

What aspects does the WCL have that make it like pointfighting?

No you didn't. You have simply repeated that it is like (extreme) point fighting. You made a vague reference to that being because of the rules, but did not explain what rules or why. You also gave a difference between the WCL and pointfighting (not disqualified for "blreaking ****") but did not say what the similarities are.

...Because, personally, I don't see it.

First of all, I don't think it's valid to say "aside from it being full contact, it's just like point fighting..." because the contact level (or lack thereof) is one of the biggest defining factors in pointfighting.

Second, let's look at the other main factors in defining point fight as such.

    1. One point per technique that lands.
    2. Non-continuous.
    3. Dipped foam equipment.

    Compared to the WCL...

    1. 5 point must system
    2. Continuous
    3. Boxing gloves and KB shin pads.

So, yeah, the WCL is just like point karate. Full contact, continuous, point karate without 1 point per technique scoring.

    Er, that's kickboxing, folks.

I'm having trouble with the BB...

    This:

WHAT FIGHTING TECHNIQUES ARE NOT ALLOWED?

    No Throws
    No Takedowns
    No Ground Fighting

    WHAT ACTIONS WILL BE PENALIZED?

No Clinching- Intentionally tying-up the opponent's arms in an effort to stop them from punching.
No Holding- Grabbing the opponent's body in an effort to stop them from attacking or countering.
No Stalling- Intentionally delaying the action of a contest in any way.
No Passivity- Retreating or circling without striking - or fighting only when the opponent attacks.
They are specifically penalizing people for using strategy. That is unforgivable in my opinion. Boxing may restrict you to using your hands but last time I checked they are not forcing you to be a certain "type" of boxer.

I can barely explain why this makes me so mad.

Part of it is that I wish great striking to rise in popularity along with the MMA surge but instead we are fed this **** and told its world class.

    Take a deep breath.
I posted the rules. Then when I replied I said it "SOUNDED LIKE" point fighting. wcl

This what I encountered at point fighting tournaments. Yet, I haven't(won't) compete in the WCL so that's why I said it sounded like.

From the looks right now (it is new) it looks like harder contact continuous point fighting. One guy runs forward they exchange until someone is knocked out. AN occasional cool technique but brawling.

Now before you jump to the I must defend my new show make one observation.

I haven't said anything negative, I offered an observation.

No it isn't. That's why they still have continuous point sparring tournaments.

    Don't make me post videos.
    It'll only hurt everyone.
