Wow, just found this old WCL thread and read it. Intersting. Anyway, I watched a couple of fights from season 1 of the WCL and there was a bunch of stuff I didn't care for.

However, now I've been watching the second season pretty regularly and they have made a ton of improvements - everything from the tv production to the quality of fighters has improved. And as you all mentioned, the rules have evolved too. Here are a couple of current fights from this season for you all to compare to what you remember it being before:

YouTube - WCL - Raymond "The Real Deal" Daniels vs Damion Caldwell 2

YouTube - WCL - Jason Bourelly vs Matt Foshee

YouTube - WCL - Munah Holland vs Jennifer Han

    Enjoy and flame on!

No problem. Also Guy Mezger and Richard Norton are the commentators, which is cool.

It's entertaining. I watch it whenever it's on.

I don't mean to be a smartass, but how many style vs style fights they have with so many restrictions? Taekwondo vs Karate? Who gives a damn. Lets see Drunken Monkey vs Sumo.

Didn't they do that in an early UFC? I seem to recall a sumo guy getting his ass handed to him.

Why do they have so many old fighters on the teams. Almost half the teams have fighters in their late 30s or early 40s. Watching it the other night and guys were gassed after a minute of sparring. Thechnique is awfull and it's just point sparring.....
