Fight Girls, Episode 1: Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Has anyone here heard anything about "Fight Girls," the new reality show that's going to air on Oxygen in the U.S. next week? It's about ten girls training to fight for a Muay Thai championship in Thailand, with one girl being eliminated each week (kinda like The Ultimate Fighter). I'm going to check it out mainly because it features a gaggle of limber, athletic Muay Thai gals... oh yes, and because it features Muay Thai legend Master Toddy as their coach.

Maybe this set of girls won't suck as bad as the last set he took to Thailand for a show just like this. They all lost.

Master toddy has a monopoly on hot thai figher girls... Gina Carano being the uber hotness. My muay thai came from him but somehow he didn't pass the hot fighter girl attraction abilities down the lineage to me, bastard.

My girlfriend want's to do this, she's 136, and cut. our teachers want her to compete in San Shou. No one, even big guys, hurt me as much with their kicks. She makes students in the class turn around in shock when she kicks the thai pad. I'm not talented like that, but love the show. It's not all adrenalized like Ultimate fighter.
It's a good thing for American martial artists to see how seriously they train over there. A combat sport is the national sport, that says it all.

See, now I'm torn. Should I not watch Oxygen out of disgust for its general programming? Or should I watch for the specific hotness of those chicks in pink hotpants doing Muay Thai?

    Quite the moral cunundrum.

    I watch for the fundamentals!

It'll be ironic when the main demographic watching this show turns out to be males ages 18-35.

I'm surprised they aren't doing more of these shows. If you really think about it, its aimed square at the tae-bo/cardio-kickboxing demographic. The reality is that there are probably more women who do stuff like that than all of the men who practice martial arts in the US. Personally, I think they should pull the show off of the Oxygen network and put it on ABC right after "desperate housewives" or some other super popular chick show. If done right, it would probably get as good or better ratings than "the ultimate fighter", and it would crush those boxing shows.
