We are talking about fighting, no set rules, on the concrete no less.

I have had my hands taped so I know what I'm talking about. Clueless my ass.

And I don't need "protection" for my hands.

Show me yours - I'll show you mine.
yes, you are clueless. Taping hands and wearing 4 oz gloves does not hinder much of anything.

Yes, we're talking about fighting, with no rules. In a fight, you punch people in the face. Wouldn't you rather be able to punch much harder, much more confidently, without fear of injury? I would.

As stated before, Omar had no problem with it, why should you?

Maybe, as stated by other posters as well, you are simply an idiot?

Oh wait, you study aikido and TKD, you really dont know anything about conditioning.

True. I keep 4oz MMA gloves in my car at all times, "just in case." See somethings gonna go down, it never hurts to have safety equipment on hand :)

also, if somebody came at me in a streetfight with taped hands and a fucking mouthpiece in, I'd promptly fill my pants with ****.

My ass. All the asshole had to do was say this is stupid, no thanks. Especially since he never planned on fighting her to begin with.

So you're limiting yourself to "punching in the face" for a fight against someone, whom you've never met, and for which there are no set rules?

As stated before, Omar had no problem with it, why should you?

No problem on my side - when is the last time you had your hands tightly wrapped and tried any BUT punching?

Among other styles - through the years.

Show me your hands asshole - we'll talk about conditioning then. How about we start a separate thread of "show me your hands" to tell the BS from those who have actually hit something other than a bag?

I'm the same, only I keep them in there because I carry my gear with me everywhere because I need to train a bunch.

Why can't you do aikido in MMA gloves?

I'm more afraid of the evil monkey that lives in my closet. If he wore wraps and a mouthpiece I'd have to move.
