You know as well as I do that 40+ lbs of muscle and bone means a lot more than 100lbs of blubber.

If Omar wins then no biggie. He smacked around a challenger. Good on him.
No dude, he will have smacked around a woman he outweighs by what looks like about 40 lbs. Not much of his weight advantage looks like fat.

    If he looses then........

Omar talked **** about Kat so she is taking it to him.
If he was talking about a guy I am sure this wouldn't even be as big as a deal and definitely not as entertaining.
If he looses then he will definitely need to rethink his training for sure, but I don't think it's right to encourage Kat to take on a male opponent with a big non-blubber weight advantage. Unless Omar forces himself to go less than full contact (which if anybody is expecting, would obviously invalidate the match), it would be dangerous for her even were he totally untrained.

Real combat sports don't allow these kind of matchups for good reasons. There's danger to the substantially smaller opponent, and it isn't a reasonable test of either side's skill. Although obviously, should he lose, he'll lose big.

Omar says he's game. Anyways, unless he's pushing 6'2" or so then he probably doesnt outweigh me by much. I'm 5'10" and...not sure what I weigh these days. was down to 145 but was back up to 150 a little over a week ago.

If I was on some challenge rampage I'd be more likely to take one from a guy about my own size because :-

    a) If I won, I wouldn't have had to beat up a lighter built woman. I wasn't raised that way.

    b) If I lost, it would be much less humiliating.

You might be surprised. I'm about the same height as my wife, and at my current ~20-25% bodyfat (probably roughly same percentage as hers, which is ok for a woman and on the chubby side for a guy) I outweigh her by about 60 lbs.

Look at the strength standards charts here:-

    http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLi...hStandards.htm

They show drastic strength differences in all major lifts between men and women of the same weight at all levels of training, particularly in the upper body. It is certainly possible for a woman to be skillful enough to overcome these differences against a man her own weight or heavier, but it puts her at much greater risk and this is one of the basic reasons why combat sports sanctioning bodies, and much of our culture, do not condone men physically assaulting women.

Oh, and Omar, if you're reading this. Accepting full contact challenges from women, even if they are the same weight, is plain wrong.

The best possible outcome you can hope for is that you somehow conclusively restrain her without hurting her. Anna does not seem the type to go out that easily, and you aren't currently training much in grappling subs to the best of my knowledge.

Following that, comes you knocking the **** out of a smaller female, which despite all the current faux-PC bravado about encouraging Anna to go and **** you up, will quickly turn into a widespread rep for you as a 'woman-beater'. Trying to go light contact as a 'test of skill' will not prove a case about training methods either way. This is what stops light-contact sport karate and TKD being t3h awesome.

At worst, you are going to lose against a smaller female who has been training for years less than you.

    Where is the upside ?

He's going to find out in the most unceremonious ways if what he's been doing for 20 years is worth spit.

It would make more sense for him to do that against a guy his size. Where are they ?
