If I was on some challenge rampage I'd be more likely to take one from a guy about my own size because :-

You might be surprised. I'm about the same height as my wife, and at my current ~20-25% bodyfat (probably roughly same percentage as hers, which is ok for a woman and on the chubby side for a guy) I outweigh her by about 60 lbs.

They show drastic strength differences in all major lifts between men and women of the same weight at all levels of training, particularly in the upper body. It is certainly possible for a woman to be skillful enough to overcome these differences against a man her own weight or heavier, but it puts her at much greater risk and this is one of the basic reasons why combat sports sanctioning bodies, and much of our culture, do not condone men physically assaulting women.!!RENT SPACE HERE FOR 10 VBUCKS PER LINE PER MONTH!!

Oh, and Omar, if you're reading this. Accepting full contact challenges from women, even if they are the same weight, is plain wrong.
The best possible outcome you can hope for is that you somehow conclusively restrain her without hurting her. Anna does not seem the type to go out that easily, and you aren't currently training much in grappling subs to the best of my knowledge.
Following that, comes you knocking the **** out of a smaller female, which despite all the current faux-PC bravado about encouraging Anna to go and **** you up, will quickly turn into a widespread rep for you as a 'woman-beater'. Trying to go light contact as a 'test of skill' will not prove a case about training methods either way. This is what stops light-contact sport karate and TKD being t3h awesome.
At worst, you are going to lose against a smaller female who has been training for years less than you.
Where is the upside ?Last edited by Cullion; 6/06/2007 9:00am at .
