Then he sold it.

I don't know how you could do that, but it was quite possibly the biggest waste of money I've seen personally.
does your friend smoke a lot of pot? wow.

anyway, i've grown fond of the .40 fullsize... i think i'll go see if they have a compact this sat.
it's also "para-ordnance day" at the range this weekend, so i think i'll go have some fun with the 1911s the reps are going to being in.

Also, I fired off a USP40 and USP45, I like the 40 much better and I don't fear that I might have a muscle spasm and smack myself in the head when I play with the 40.
are you kind lightweight/have a poor grip? its the second time you've noted a larger caliber weapon may smack you in the noggin.

I'm 145lbs and I have the handspan of a child. Seriously from pinky to thumb completely spread it's only about 8 inches.

I'm a petite and beautiful man. It's why the ladies love me oh-so-much. My grip in my right hand is actually kind of poor because I cut my hand a few years back and it severed some muscles and nerves, so it's not going to be the same ever again.

oh, good christ, that's horrible. about the cut part.

8inch of handspan? i think that's what mine is. let me check. yup.
but then again, i'm 5'11 and like 170. no one's ever called me "petite," though. :P

you should try working on your left hand + train your left eye, if your hand grip isn't working out. i was left eye dom+right hand dom back when i first started shooting rifles when i was 14, so i trained with my right eye until it got to the point where the "triangle eye dom. test" came out neutral everytime.

I've always felt that the recoil on a .45 was more easily managed than a .40. I figured it was because the .45 was a lower pressure round and so it felt more like a shove than a snap with the .45 being a greater total force but delivered more slowly. Then again, I've never had a chance to fire .40 and .45 from the same platform so that could be totally based on flawed perceptions.

Oh, I'm left-handed. But I hate shooting left-handed. Something about hot shells smacking me just makes it not very fun.

    Edit:

Also, I'm sure your digits are probably thicker than mine. I have girly hands. My ring size is between a 4.5-5.

Same here in terms of left eye + right hand. I'm just considering changing to my left hand. Yay for ambidextrousity?
