The most epic assassination EVER. It's even better that he actually pulled it off. I bet that guy's balls were enormous.

then why not have the killer of OJ Simpson's wife / her lover as a badass? he/they (OJ or not) used a knife in a gun prevalent US, and is/are still not behind bars. btw, knives / swords are commonly used in japanese yakuzas.

my beef is that this guy is an ASSASSIN and a killer. There are pllenty of other stories of extra ordinary MA ists (like the guy who competes in ADCC with no legs, the wreslter with no arms and legs, etc).

really, this guy is a wrong choice imo. what's next, serial killers?

btw, the april choice is awesome.

to the guy who wrote "even better that he actually pulled it off". ie that he killed the elderly politican... if you really think this way, please seek help.

    Sincere? Definitely.

    Diligent? Absolutely.

    Badass? Nope.

He rushed an unarmed old bloke with a big knife.

You want badass with a sword?

Still nationalist, still fanatical, but he had the balls to kill himself (seppuku, i.e. slowly, painfully), not some old man he disagreed with.

well, if you're gonna do it on stage in front of a ton of people, knowing you'd get killed/caught in the process.. and remember, these guys don't have the "70 virgins in heaven" thing, so they're basically doing it on blind faith in their cause..
    now THAT's badass :)

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

This isn't a magazine. If you guys want someone else featured here, you're free to submit the articles yourselves.

As long as I'm the one writing it, it's going to be completely up to my personal, subjective judgment as to what is "badass".

    Don't make me stab you.

Besides the badass/killer controversy raging on...where the heck were his bodyguards? It's not like it's a modern day invention or such, having SOMEONE to guard you in public and not so public acts!
Lot's of japanese politicians were whacked from the Meiji era to the period right before WW2, by the looks of it, they were whacked after WW2...maybe they should see the big picture going on?
The political meetings in Taiwan that end in fist fights? Aparently no security either.
Korea? Forget about it...it seems like anyone can go up to the PM and punch him in the head!
Hell, all around the world, it seems like dumb people hire even dumber people to guard ther lives.:ingun:
