    Whats wrong with learning how to fight 1 vs 1, then multiple opponents? Everyone is wearing the correct protection, ie, shin guards, mouth guards, groin guards, goggles etc..

It's that Wing Chun and other arts that talk a lot of smack about multiple opponents frequently skip right past that whole "Learn to beat ONE person" part and spin straight into five knife wielding crack heads in a dark alley.
