Update: Apparantly after much complaint headkicks are now allowed again. As far as I know that's the only change for the better yet.

Also signed. Standing Elbows need to be back in. Elbows on the ground I can take or leave. Also, I dunno WTF they think a hammer lock is, but I can't see a reason for it to be illegal if it's the standard arm behind the back, hand pushed up between the shoulder blades hammer lock. Anyone know why that would be an illegal move?

Elbows were always outlawed in Amateur. I don't have a problem with that. I am afraid though that they're going to use the no hammerlocks to outlaw kimuras.

Wouldn't that also outlaw Keylocks/Americana? Or do they catagorize based on the direction the arm is pointing? What does that leave, Straight arm bars and chokes?

The standing 8 count is the real problem. It actually makes amateur MORE dangerous. How can they not see that?

I didn't see the standing 8 count when I was looking through the rules, what section did they put it in? I want to see when it applies... Because if it applies when you knock a guy down with a punch from standing doesn't that kill the Mixed version of MMA since you can't knock them down and then jump on them?
