Petition to repeal Georgia Amateur MMA rule change
Ok folks, I posted this in the GAY, GAY, GAY thread, but thought it could use it's own.
The Georgia Athletics and Entertainment Commission (a dept under the Sec. of State) has made some pretty horrendous rules changes to Amateur MMA events. These are the new rules...
I have put together an online petition that I would like people to sign and pass on (PLEASE ONLY SIGN ONCE). When I have enough names, I'll print this off and mail it with a well written and researched cover letter. Thanks in advance to all those that contribute.

"No kicks to knees", do they mean leg kicks or are they just retarded?
throws/takedowns/sweeps are legal, but slams are not? wtf?
those are sort of understandable... but "no hammerlocks" is about the most retarded thing i've ever heard.
and 10 count is just dangerous.
What exactly is a 'spine lock'?
something like "the twister" done by eddie bravo

I hate to be a wet blanket, but no one ever listens to Internet petitions. They lack the legitimacy of "paper" petitions because the paper petition signatures are typically sworn under penalty of perjury and traceable to a real person.
I signed the thing, but politicians typically toss these in the garbage.
I'm a little worried about the begging after signing too. It makes it look like you have to donate to continue contributing to the petition.
I talked to some of the fighters at my gym about this. They brought up another real problem with these rules. A lot of amateurs will go pro too soon to fight under real rules.
Yep. That point was brought up here too.

You can't practice Judo just to win a Judo Match! You practice so that no matter what happens, you can win using Judo!
The key to fighting two men at once is to be much tougher than both of them.
well if EVERYONE goes pro and they're all just 0-0 fighters than i guess there's no problem?
