The deadly armpit and thigh pinches!
I just got one of those retarded scare mongering emails that get spammed out to people. You know the ones, convinving them that they're almost certain to get raped if they ever go into a parking lot etc (i've been in a lot of parking lots and no ones ever raped me. But then again, im hardly sexually magnetic).
But I found this particular tip somewhat,.... odd.
"13) If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength but you can
by out-smarting them. If yo u are grabbed around the waist from behind,
pinch the attacker either under the arm (between the elbow and armpit)
OR in the upper inner thigh VERY VERY HARD. One woman in a class this guy
taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date
rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle
strands - the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as
hard as you can stand it - it hurts."
Has anyone heard of this being taught anywhere ??
edit they also have this
:"15) When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers
and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing
down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much
pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

Obviously, it's a rapist spamming people with unworkable anti-rapeling techniques.

I remember these from primary school. Called them "Bee stings" and tried to twist the other kids skin until they cried uncle.
Leaves a nasty mark. I guess as a distraction technique to set up something more effective it would probably work. But why not just kick the attacker in the nuts?"Sifu, I"m niether - I'm a fire dragon so don't **** with me!"

I suppose that that might work if you surprised the guy. But I can't see that working on someone who's already gone to the extreme of attempting rape.
My advice: Hit 'im in the throat.

I think half those dvd/video self defence courses are produced by muggers for the same reason

We do show the d34dly inner thigh pinch at our school. Of course we preface it by saying that it's best (and generally only) used in situations where you don't really want to hurt the person and you're fairly certain it won't escalate from there. For example, your buddy has had too much to drink and tries to test you by placing you in a headlock.
Obviously we show more effective escapes from the headlock as well, but the d34dly inner thigh pinch And on that note, let me state that we really don't advocate it as a valid self-defense proceedure if you're ever truely attacked.
Never heard of the armpit pinch though.

because of that email... i've stopped raping several people.
i'm now in perpetual fear of arm and leg pinches.
